KILTWALK 2025

Join Who Dares Cares on a Kiltwalk in 2025. Now, instead of a Hunter Foundation top up, The Hunter Foundation will underwrite Kiltwalk’s costs, allowing Gift Aid to be released to Who Dares Cares ensuring up to 125% of what you raise will come directly to the charity.

Hills, Skills & Drills Course

How many of us enjoy a day in the hills, with new technology and gps it’s a lot easier, however your phone dies, you can’t get a signal would you be able to navigate Your way ?

​

Map and Compass is a skill, if not used on a regular basis you will get skill fade. Mag to Grid ? Grid to Mag ?

​

We are lucky to have a very experienced Mountain Leader/mountaineer and instructor in the Troop who runs courses so

If you’re new to the hills and would like to learn skills and drills that could save your life ?

​

If you would like to Brush up on your skills ?

​

The course is run 4 x Consecutive Sundays Date commencing Sunday April 20th

​

Comprises 2 x days class room 2 x days in the hills

Dates Sunday 20th, 27 th April (Classroom Mountain Skills/Navigation Theory)

Sunday 4th May Location - Whitelees Wind Farm, Moor Road Eaglesham ,Glasgow G76 0QQ
Aim of Day -Put Theory from Classroom into practice /plus Mountain Safety subjects.
Timings 09.00 hrs to 15.00hrs.

Sunday 11 th May Navigation Skills Day. ( Navigation Day / Practice all aspects of Mountain Skills
Timings 09.00hrs to 16.00hrs
Location - Kames Muirkirk ,East Ayrshire , East Kilbride

THE FAN IN MEMORY OF DAN

On Saturday 3rd May 2025 Who Dares Cares will be returning to Wales to hike the Pen Y Fan to Remember Dan and the Fallen for whom the Battles were Never Over. Taking on the “Selection” Route that many travelled to the start of their Journey.
